Mission Statement

Empowering students to reach their greatest potential by emphasizing personal connections, academic excellence, and positive character values.

Focus: Every Student by Name and Need

Byron Center Charter School offers kindergarten through 12th grade at one location. Byron Center Charter School is committed to having a low student/teacher ratio. We believe a safer, more disciplined, and academically challenging environment can be achieved with smaller class sizes. Students are using computers for a variety of applications on a regular basis.

Wetlands Project

BCCS is working with GVSU to develop a boardwalk on our wetlands. Eventually this will include outdoor classroom space and instruction. We are thankful to have received grants from GVSU Groundswell and Friends of Buck Creek to help us get the project started with a delination. Please check out this video created by students and staff about the delination project.
